According to 1M AI News monitoring, MacRumors analyst Aaron found strings related to AI content detection in the X app code, including `COMPOSE_VIEW_C2PA_AI_DETECTED_TOAST` (C2PA AI Detection Toast in the post composition interface) and `AI generated content detected`. This indicates that X is developing a feature: when the content posted by a user is identified as AI-generated, a warning prompt will pop up before posting.
This feature is based on the C2PA (Content Authenticity and Provenance Alliance) standard, which is an open technical standard initiated by companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Intel, to track content sources and creation tools by embedding encrypted signature metadata in files. Platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, Meta already support C2PA, and X was previously considered a "missing" participant in this standard. Currently, images and videos generated by X's proprietary AI tool Grok have watermarks, but content generated by third-party AI tools has not yet been actively checked.
